We sincerely hope that you will find the website and its linkages useful for getting news and information about Kenya, with particular attention to the Government, consular services, trade and investment opportunities, travel and tourism, as well as bilateral relations with the South Sudan. Kenya is geo-strategically located and it is a gateway to East and Central Africa. It offers favourable investment climates in the wider East African region with limitless Trade and Investment opportunities. Kenya offers world class educational and medical facilities and is a hub for technological innovation in financial services and agribusiness sector. In addition, Nairobi is a regional hub of economic and multilateral diplomacy, It hosts one of the four United Nations Offices and numerous international and inter-governmental organizations. The main focus of the Embassy is to enhance relations with the Republic of South Sudan. Kenya and South Sudan enjoy long-standing historical ties which continue to grow from strength to strength and have been transformed into a multifaceted and mutually beneficial partnership. These ties encompass virtually all fields of interests.

It is my goal to further these relations for the mutual benefit of the citizens of our great Nations. We are committed to continuing to consolidate and widen our relations.

We also deliberately seek to engage with the vibrant Kenyan diaspora, who are Kenya’s first line ambassadors and partners in national development endeavours. I hope you will find this website a useful window to Kenya and to the Kenya-South Sudan relations.

All types of visas can be applied and paid for at the Embassy.

For those categories of applicants, who do not require referred visa, Single and Transit visas can be issued at the point of arrival to Kenya.

From 1st September 2015 all Single, Transit and Courtesy visas can be applied and paid for online through the e-citizen platform. Applicants who require referred visas, Multiple visas and East African Tourist visa will continue to receive visas at the Embassy.

Children under the age of 16 years accompanying their parents do not require visas to enter the territory of Kenya as from February 2, 2016.

LAPSSET PROJECT 

The LAPSSET Corridor Program is Eastern Africa’s largest and most ambitious infrastructure project bringing together Kenya, Ethiopia and South Sudan. This mega project consists of seven key infrastructure projects starting with a new 32 Berth port at Lamu (Kenya); Interregional Highways from Lamu to Isiolo, Isiolo to Juba (South Sudan), Isiolo to Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), and Lamu to Garsen (Kenya), Crude Oil Pipeline from Lamu to Isiolo, Isiolo to Juba; Product Oil Pipeline from Lamu to Isiolo, Isiolo to Addis Ababa; Interregional Standard Gauge Railway lines from Lamu to Isiolo, Isiolo to Juba, Isiolo to Addis Ababa, and Nairobi to Isiolo; 3 International Airports: one each at Lamu, Isiolo, and Lake Turkana; 3 Resort Cities: one each at Lamu, Isiolo and Lake Turkana; and The multipurpose High Grand Falls Dam along the Tana River.
